Location: Asokoro, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Review accounting entries and ensure completeness, accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
- Perform regular bank, ledger, balance sheet and other account reconciliations.
- Financial Planning, Analysis & Controls:
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and identify significant variances.
- Monitor cash flow, operating expenditure, budgets and financial commitments.
- Prepare financial analysis and management reports to support business decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:
- Support compliance with applicable accounting, tax, financial-services and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax computations and statutory remittances.
- Audit & Assurance:
- Coordinate the preparation of schedules, working papers and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Payroll & Employee-Related Accounting:
- Review and support monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate payroll accounting and timely statutory remittances.
- Investment & Portfolio Accounting:
- Assist with portfolio and investment reporting, reconciliations and financial schedules.
- Support accounting and reporting for investment-related transactions and activities.
- Documentation & Financial Governance:
- Maintain accurate, complete and well-organised accounting records.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and taxation.
- Demonstrable
Experience
in account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting and financial controls.
in investment management, asset management, banking, investment banking, capital markets or other regulated financial-services organisations.
ACA / ICAN qualification is mandatory.
5–7 years of relevant post-qualification/progressive accounting experience.
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
