Job Title: Accounting Associate
Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
1159 Realty is seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and highly accountable Accounting Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have strong financial management skills, a good understanding of accounting processes, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced real estate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, imprest, and expense records on QuickBooks.
- Process approved refunds, revocations, and account adjustments.
- Maintain accurate property inventory records, including sold, reserved, revoked, and cancelled units.
- Maintain accurate payment records on the company’s WebApp.
- Compute, reconcile, and track sales commissions.
- Reconcile bank statements, QuickBooks, WebApp transactions, and internal records.
- Confirm client payments and process invoices promptly.
- Prepare accurate financial and management reports.
- Monitor defaulting clients and update applicable charges.
- Support payroll processing and other financial requests from HR, Customer Service, and Management.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate financial records.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
- A degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
