We have a vast experience in the outsourcing business as we currently manage resources for major clients in all sectors of the Nigerian economy. In addition, our prolific manpower cuts across the 36 states in Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Advertising & Sponsorships Lead

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate with Audience, Design, Product and Editorial teams to obtain materials required to sell and deliver campaigns.
  • Develop and sell sponsorship packages across newsletters, podcasts, print issues, special editorial projects and other media products.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure invoices are raised promptly and payments are collected.
  • Help refine rate cards, advertising products and sponsorship packages based on market demand and performance.
  • Manage commercial client relationships through campaign delivery and identify opportunities for renewals and larger engagements.
  • Lead pitches and negotiations, moving opportunities decisively from initial conversations to signed agreements.
  • Prepare proposals, media plans, sponsorship decks and commercial packages tailored to prospective clients.
  • Identify and proactively approach prospective advertisers, sponsors, media agencies and corporate decision-makers.
  • Sell advertising across existing print and digital inventory.
  • Report regularly on pipeline, contracted revenue, collected revenue and performance against targets.
  • Build relationships with brands and agencies that can develop into repeat and multi-campaign business.
  • Own the advertising and sponsorship sales pipeline, from prospecting through closing and collection.
  • Maintain an organised pipeline with clear deal values, probabilities, next steps and expected closing dates.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of the Nigerian corporate, advertising and media landscape.

Strong commercial judgement and ability to translate client needs into compelling commercial propositions.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, social sciences or a related field (graduate degrees strongly encouraged).

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of a commercial function in a growing company.

5+ years' experience in advertising sales, media sales, sponsorships, business development or a related commercial role (2–3 years of sales leadership experience preferred).

Experience selling to brands, agencies, marketing teams or corporate decision-makers.

CRM proficiency (e.g., Apollo), and passion for journalism.

Strong organizational discipline to maintain an active pipeline and follow opportunities through to collection.

Demonstrated record of personally generating revenue and closing commercial deals.

Salary: N800,000 gross monthly + uncapped performance-based commission
