Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the business objective of providing financial service to micro clients who were excluded from the mainstream financial system. It commenced operations in June 2010 upon obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria. It later obtained a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016.
Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited’s financial inclusion effort focuses on promoting savings culture, access to credit facilities for income-generation purposes and reducing vulnerability to risk through micro insurance.
The Bank’s major strategic focus employs the group lending methodology in its operations with a leaning towards women. It believes in the commitment of women folk to work hard and help their families conquer poverty. As such, more than 95% of the Bank’s lending activities focuses on women. The success of the bank’s group lending activities largely depends on group solidarity and cohesion.
The success recorded by the bank in its lending program has earned it strategic partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) among others.
The combination of cutting-edge technology, a strong and committed Board of Directors and motivated employees has helped the Bank to create a brand widely accepted by its teeming clients in Lagos. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, monitoring and supervision of Area Office activities.
- Assess and interpret customers’ accounts and transaction history on the system.
- Ensure proper payment and documentation of equity contributions and upfront fees.
- Monitor business performance, provide operational support and drive achievement of business and loan portfolio targets.
- Drive the introduction and promotion of Bosak MFB, Bosak Trade Loan (BTL) and other products to prospective customers.
- Supervise and manage all Business Managers and Loan Officers within the Area Office.
- Ensure prompt and accurate remittance of cash collections into the appropriate bank accounts.
- Apply the 5 Cs of Lending: Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral and Conditions in loan assessment and monitoring.
- Conduct and supervise customer and guarantor verification, including cross-guarantee arrangements within groups.
- Ensure effective group management, loan monitoring and repayment performance.
- Identify portfolio risks, follow up on delinquent accounts and support effective recovery efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market associations, business groups and customers.
- Monitor weekly loan repayment collections, passbook/register updates and issuance of tellers.
- What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of microfinance lending and group lending operations.
- Proven ability to supervise and manage Loan Officers/Business Managers.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
- Candidates with strong knowledge of the Ikorodu market will be an added advantage.

in a Microfinance Bank (MFB).
Target-driven with the ability to manage a high-performing field team.
Good understanding of loan appraisal, collections, portfolio monitoring, and recovery.
