Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to deliver engaging, practical and developmentally appropriate Art lessons that inspire creativity, self-expression, critical thinking and appreciation of the visual arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise art displays, exhibitions, competitions, clubs and creative projects.
- Manage Art materials, tools and resources responsibly.
- Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating Art learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide activities and initiatives.
- Teach a broad range of art techniques, media and creative processes.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Promote appreciation of Nigerian, African and global art and culture.
- Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse learning needs.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Visual Arts, Creative Arts, Education or a related field.
- Professional teaching qualification (B.Ed./PGDE or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Previous experience teaching Art in a recognised school.
- Strong knowledge of Art techniques, classroom management and student assessment.
- Valid TRCN registration/licence or eligibility for registration, where applicable.
