Job Title: Assistant Store Manager
Location: Abuja

Job Summary
The successful candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, staff supervision, inventory management, customer service, merchandising, and sales activities while ensuring that company standards and procedures are consistently maintained.
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Store Manager to support the effective day-to-day management of a busy retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Support staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure proper handling of customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues.
- Monitor stock levels, stock movement, receiving, storage, and replenishment.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, losses, and expired products.
- Monitor product displays, pricing, merchandising, and store presentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, procurement, and other departments where required.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support store staff to achieve operational and sales targets.
- Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations.
- Conduct and support regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor sales activities and prepare relevant operational reports.
- Assist in achieving store sales, customer service, and operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Good understanding of retail sales and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and stock management.
- Experience supervising and coordinating store staff.
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in retail/store operations.
- Must be available to resume immediately.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with POS/retail management systems.
- Previous experience working in a supermarket, shopping mall, retail store, FMCG, or similar environment is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Must currently reside in Abuja/FCT.
