Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable organization for an experienced and strategic Cashier to oversee the organization's functions.
The ideal candidate must be honest, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of handling financial transactions accurately.
The successful candidate would be responsible for receiving payments, processing customer transactions, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and ensuring proper accountability for all funds received.
The Key Requirements
Keep the cashier's workstation clean, organized, and secure.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with company cash-handling procedures.
Ensure the cash register and payment terminals are properly maintained.
Maintain accurate records of daily sales and payments received.
Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
Receive cash, POS, bank transfers, and other approved forms of payment from customers.
Process transactions accurately and issue receipts to customers.
Reconcile cash, POS transactions, and other payment records at the end of each shift.
Handle customer payment inquiries and resolve minor transaction issues.
Prepare daily cash reports and submit collections to the designated officer.
Report cash shortages, overages, discrepancies, or suspicious transactions to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirement
Basic numerical, record-keeping, and computer skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with POS terminals and cash register operations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
A Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is an advantage.
High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
Ability to work under pressure and handle transactions responsibly.
