We are seeking a skilled and proactive Biomedical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of medical equipment and supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of biomedical devices across the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health and safety standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with equipment vendors and service providers for repairs, servicing, installation, and technical support.
- Install, inspect, test, calibrate, maintain, and repair medical and biomedical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades where necessary.
- Participate in the procurement, installation, commissioning, and evaluation of new medical equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clinical staff on the proper use and handling of medical equipment.
- Ensure medical equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults and coordinate repairs where necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, calibration, and service history.
- Conduct routine inspections and performance checks on biomedical equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment.
