Summary

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Bookstore Assistant to join our team at our Oniru location.

The ideal candidate should enjoy interacting with people, be comfortable working in a retail environment, and preferably have an interest in books and reading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and assist them in finding books and other products.
  • Attend to customer enquiries and provide helpful recommendations.
  • Support day-to-day sales and bookstore operations.
  • Arrange, shelve and properly display books.
  • Ensure shelves and assigned areas are organised and presentable.
  • Assist with stock checks and inventory-related activities.
  • Support other store operations as required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer-service orientation.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Organised, responsible, and willing to learn.

An interest in books/reading is an advantage.

Must be available to work weekends.

Applicants must reside on Lagos Island or within close proximity to Victoria Island/Oniru.

Candidates living considerably far from the Island may not be considered due to the shift requirements.

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work five days weekly, comprising:

Saturday and Sunday

Three weekdays

Specific weekday shifts will be communicated based on the store roster.
