Job Description
- Pina Star Integrated Services is seeking a competent, experienced, and results-oriented Bottled Water Production Manager to oversee and coordinate its daily bottled water production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire production process, supervising machine operators and other production personnel, ensuring product quality, controlling inventory, maintaining production equipment, and achieving established production targets.
- The ideal candidate must have practical knowledge of bottled water manufacturing processes, including bottle blowing, water treatment, filling, capping, labelling, coding, shrink wrapping, and packaging. The candidate must also demonstrate strong leadership, technical problem-solving, inventory management, and organisational skills to ensure smooth, safe, and cost-effective production.
Requirements
- Minimum OND in Biological, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in bottled water production or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of bottle-blowing, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging machines.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, quality assurance, and workplace safety.
- Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet production targets, and supervise a team effectively.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee daily bottled water production, including bottle blowing, filling, capping, labelling, coding, and packaging.
Supervise and coordinate production staff to ensure production targets are achieved.
Monitor the operation, maintenance, and performance of production machines and equipment.
Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and drinking water quality standards.
Monitor the use of raw materials, including preforms, bottle caps, labels, shrink wrappers, and other production consumables.
Maintain accurate production, inventory, wastage, and equipment maintenance records.
Identify and resolve production challenges to minimize downtime and wastage.
Coordinate routine machine servicing and promptly report equipment faults.
Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.
Prepare daily production reports and recommend improvements in productivity and cost efficiency.
