We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Location: Lagos (Covering Ogun)

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and commercially aggressive Business Development Associate to accelerate growth across our food value chain services, including training, audit, research, and development.

This role is for a relentless deal-closer who uses every available channel to originate, pursue, and close business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate sufficient technical understanding to position FHSA as a strategic service partner to clients.
  • Promote and sell FHSA’s services (training, audit, R&D) to corporates (SMES/MSMES/Mid sized food value chain businesses,hospitality,hospitals,schools), SMEs, and government institutions.
  • Represent FHSA at industry events, trade fairs, and networking forums.
  • Develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and commercial offers tailored to client needs.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value deals across the food and agribusiness sector.
  • Originate deals through cold calling, cold meetings, referrals, networking, and strategic outreach.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects and convert leads into paying clients.
  • Work closely with internal technical teams to design solutions and ensure strong service delivery alignment.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to expand revenue streams within existing and new accounts.

Requirements

  • Strong network within Lagos and surrounding South-West states.
  • 3–5 years of proven

Experience

in business development or sales (preferably in service consulting) within FMCGs,QSRs,FastFood Chains,Hospitality,Schools,Hospitals.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient under pressure.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Strong

in proposal writing, cold outreach (calls and meetings), and deal closing.

Strong business to business

is required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

Demonstrated track record of generating and converting leads into revenue.
