Job Title: Business Development Manager – Marine Services

Job Purpose
To drive business growth by identifying and securing new commercial opportunities within the marine, offshore, oil & gas, shipping and related industries.
The role will be responsible for developing client relationships, generating business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline and converting opportunities into profitable contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Operations, Technical, Finance and Management teams to develop competitive proposals.
- Support the development of annual business development and revenue-generation strategies.
- Develop market intelligence on competitors, pricing, client requirements and emerging opportunities.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the marine and offshore sectors.
- Prepare regular business development reports, sales forecasts and pipeline updates for management.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of leads, opportunities, proposals and client engagements.
- Monitor industry trends, upcoming projects, tenders and contracting opportunities.
- Prepare and submit commercial proposals, expressions of interest, tenders and quotations.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
- Work with management to establish and achieve revenue and business acquisition targets.
- Maintain regular engagement with existing clients to identify additional business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with IOCs, oil & gas companies, EPC contractors, marine operators and other potential clients.
- Lead commercial negotiations and support contract award processes.
- Attend industry meetings, conferences and client engagements to promote the company's marine capabilities.

Requirements

- Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
- Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
- 5–10 years' experience in business development, preferably within marine, offshore, shipping or oil & gas services.
- Existing relationships with relevant clients and industry stakeholders will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian marine/offshore market.
