We are recruiting an experienced Carpenter Foreman to supervise and coordinate carpentry and formwork activities across our construction sites.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organised work area.
- Ensure proper construction of columns, beams, slabs, staircases, foundations, and other formwork.
- Monitor workmanship and correct defective or poorly executed work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Ensure formwork is properly set, aligned, levelled, supported, and secured before concrete casting.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignment, and quality of completed formwork.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of carpentry tools and materials.
- Supervise carpenters and labourers carrying out formwork and general carpentry works.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Reinforcement/Iron Fitters, Masons, and other site teams.
- Coordinate daily carpentry activities in line with project requirements and schedules.
- Report manpower, material requirements, progress, and site issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
- Read and work from structural and architectural drawings and site instructions.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment required for carpentry works are properly utilised.
Requirements
- Good understanding of levels, measurements, alignment, and formwork installation.
- Strong practical knowledge of formwork for reinforced concrete construction.
- Minimum of 6 years' practical experience in building construction and carpentry/formwork works.
- Proven experience supervising carpenters on construction sites.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings is required.
- Must be physically fit and willing to work on active construction sites.
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team effectively.
