Job Summary
The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, handling payments, issuing receipts, maintaining proper cash records, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate transaction records and submit required reports.
- Handle cash responsibly and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure the cashier station is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Verify prices, discounts, and promotional offers before processing transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Escalate transaction issues, complaints, or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
- Attend to customers professionally and provide helpful assistance.
- Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Process cash, POS, transfer, and other customer payments accurately.
- Follow company policies and procedures on cash handling and customer service.
- Balance cash and payment records at the end of each shift.
Requirements
Minimum of an OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage; basic computer and POS operation skills; good numerical and record-keeping skills; attention to detail; honesty and integrity; good communication and customer-service skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
Salary: N90,000 - N100,000 monthly.
