Job Title: Chinese Translator
Location: Kama Otto, Nasarawa

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chinese Translator to join our team in a full-time, on-site position.
The ideal candidate must have a strong command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate written documents and interpret spoken communication in both languages.
The candidate must be fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and translating Chinese to facilitate effective communication between Chinese management and Nigerian staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate effective communication between the Head of the Production Department, Chinese management, and production workers.
- Provide accurate oral and written translations from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Help resolve communication gaps between Chinese supervisors and Nigerian workers to ensure smooth production operations.
- Act as a cultural bridge between Chinese and Nigerian employees, promoting clear communication and mutual understanding.
- Assist the Head of the Production Department in supervising daily activities at the factory site.
- Provide translation support during production meetings, technical training, and equipment operation instructions.
- Translate production documents, daily reports, work instructions, and technical materials.
- Assist in communicating production targets, work schedules, and operational procedures to production staff.
- Interpret spoken communication during meetings and on-site interactions between Chinese management and Nigerian production staff.
- Monitor production activities and ensure workers understand and follow instructions from their supervisors.
Requirements
- Fluency in speaking and hearing Hausa is a plus
- Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a mining, business or technical environment.
- Should be responsible and have good management skills.
- Experience studying or working in China is a plus
- Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years of experience.
