Main Goals:
Coordinate all commissioning interfaces with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC and the Customer.
Lead the commissioning team through Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Energization and Final Handover.
Deliver fully tested and operational substations in compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
Represent our client for all commissioning activities on site.
Ensure safe execution in accordance with the client Zero Harm philosophy.
Deliverables:
Prepare and manage commissioning schedules, resource plans and mobilization plans.
Coordinate final documentation, as-built records and project handover
Coordinate interfaces with the Construction and Engineering teams.
Review commissioning procedures, test forms, method statements and switching programs.
Coordinate all commissioning disciplines, including HV Primary Equipment, Protection & Control, SCADA, Telecom and AC/DC auxiliary systems.
Develop and implement the overall commissioning strategy and execution plan.
Manage subcontractors, vendor specialists and commissioning engineers.
Lead energization activities in coordination with the Customer and Grid Operator.
Ensure full compliance with Siemens Energy HSE, QA / QC and commissioning procedures.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly commissioning reports.
Monitor commissioning progress, KPIs, punch lists, NCRs and corrective actions.
Verify Electrical Completion (EC) and Ready for Commissioning (RFC) status before testing.
Coordinate SAT, functional testing, interlocking tests and system integration.
Direct Report:
The Commissioning Manager reports directly to the Site Director / manager while maintaining close coordination with the HV and LV Manages, QA / QC Manager, EHS Manager
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HV Primary Equipment, Protection & Control, SCADA and AC / DC systems.
- Knowledge of IEC standards, grid codes and commissioning procedures.
- English mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in HV substation commissioning.
- Proven leadership and multidisciplinary team management experience.
- Extensive experience on 132–330 kV AIS/GIS EPC projects.
