Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistency in food taste, quality and presentation, maintaining proper food handling and hygiene standards and supporting efficient kitchen operations.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to prepare and cook meals in accordance with approved recipes, quality standards and service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operating procedures.
- Properly store and handle food ingredients.
- Prepare ingredients and organise cooking stations before service.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served within required timelines.
- Monitor food quality throughout the preparation and cooking process.
- Maintain clean and hygienic cooking areas and equipment.
- Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food waste.
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and specifications.

- Demonstrable knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Culinary training or relevant certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to prepare a variety of Nigerian and/or continental dishes.
- Previous experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant, catering business, or similar food service environment.
