We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Costing Officer to join our Finance team in Lagos.
The successful candidate will be responsible for product costing, cost control, variance analysis, margin optimisation and providing financial insights that support pricing and profitable business decisions.
Salary: ₦350,000 – ₦450,000 Gross Monthly
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain accurate product and production costings.
- Analyse material, labour, overhead and production costs.
- Monitor and investigate cost variances.
- Prepare costing reports to support pricing and profitability decisions.
- Analyse product margins and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor inventory valuation and production costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
- Provide costing insights to Management, Finance, Procurement and Production teams.
- Maintain accurate costing records and effective cost-control processes.
Requirements
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA).
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in costing, management accounting or financial analysis.
Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of product costing, cost accounting and variance analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ERP/accounting software experience is an advantage.
Strong commercial, analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to convert financial data into practical business insights.
High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
