hey are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to evaluate, monitor, and manage the company’s credit exposure, reduce lending risk, and maintain a healthy loan portfolio while ensuring sound lending decisions that protect company assets.
Job Summary
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of individuals, businesses or counterparties and support sound lending/investment decisions.
The successful candidate will analyze financial statements, evaluate risk, and provide recommendations that balance growth with prudent risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Recommend credit limits, terms, and pricing based on risk assessment.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and credit history to assess borrower risk.
- Monitor existing portfolio accounts for covenant compliance and early warning signs.
- Prepare credit memos and risk ratings for loan/credit committee review.
- Build financial models to project repayment capacity and stress-test scenarios.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, underwriters, and legal/compliance teams.
- Ensure analysis complies with internal credit policy and regulatory requirements.
- Research industry trends, market conditions, and competitor positioning.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting findings.
- Strong skills in financial statement analysis and modeling (Excel required).
- First Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2-5 years of credit analysis, underwriting, or related financial experience.
- Familiarity with credit risk tools/software and rating methodologies.
