Job Summary
As the Credit Officer, you will manage customer credit assessments, monitor outstanding accounts, and support effective revenue collection by ensuring customers meet their payment obligations.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, payment patterns, and credit limits while identifying potential credit risks.
- Assess customer credit applications, account information, payment history, and supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness.
- Ensure credit activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable electricity industry standards.
- Review and maintain accurate customer credit records, ensuring proper documentation and timely updates.
- Prepare credit and receivables reports, highlight delinquent accounts, and provide recommendations for appropriate credit actions.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate with customers and relevant internal teams to facilitate timely payments and resolve billing or credit issues.
Requirements
Experience within an electric utility, power, energy, or related service-based environment is an advantage.
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in credit control, credit analysis, accounts receivable, collections, or a related role.
Strong understanding of credit assessment, receivables management, collections, and financial reporting.
Salary: N250,000 - N300,000 Monthly Net.
