Role Description
This CSWIP 3.1 NDT Pipeline Inspector role is a contract, on-site position located in Offshore Nigeria. The inspector will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on pipelines, including visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, radiography, and other approved methods to assess pipeline integrity.
The inspector will also ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and quality audits as required.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing inspection plans, conducting field inspections, documenting findings, and generating clear, accurate reports in line with industry standards and client requirements.
The role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and safety teams to identify defects, recommend corrective actions, and verify that repairs meet specification.
Qualifications
Previous
Experience
working in Nigeria or similar environments, and familiarity with local regulatory and safety requirements, is an advantage.
Relevant technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Inspection, or a related discipline is preferred.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work constructively with multinational and cross-functional teams on-site.
Physical capability and willingness to work in field conditions, including remote locations and potentially extended shifts.
Recognized CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent NDT certification with demonstrated
in pipeline inspection.
Solid understanding of process safety management, risk assessment, and safe work practices in field environments.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, codes, and standards related to pipelines and pressure systems.
in pipeline engineering or asset integrity projects, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sector.
Strong practical skills in NDT techniques such as visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing.
Proficiency in preparing inspection reports, maintaining accurate records, and using digital tools or software for data logging and analysis.
