Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Accountant with strong project accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must be an ICAN-qualified professional with a proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and project finance management. Experience within manufacturing, logistics, fleet management, or project-based environments will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial performance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support operational and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Support the preparation of management accounts and business performance reports.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage general ledger activities and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Project Accounting & Cost Management:
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on project and operational costs.
- Monitor project financial performance and provide recommendations for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
- Oversee project accounting activities, including budgeting, cost allocation, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
- Collaborate with project, operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment between financial data and project deliverables.
- Compliance & Internal Controls
- Systems & Business Support:
- Utilize ERP and accounting systems such as SAP for financial transactions and reporting.
- Provide management with financial insights, reports, and recommendations for operational improvement.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional Qualification
- ICAN qualification is mandatory.
Experience
Prior exposure to manufacturing, logistics, fleet operations, or project-driven environments is highly preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years' relevant accounting experience.
Proven experience in project accounting, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis, reporting, and modeling.
Knowledge and Skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
