Role Summary
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the company's product offerings.
Working closely with cross-functional operational teams, the role ensures demand plans are aligned with business objectives, optimize inventory levels, and support product availability and customer service performance.
General Responsibilities
Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories and product lines.
Analyze historical sales trends, project pipelines, customer demand patterns, market intelligence, and commercial activities to improve forecast accuracy.
Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve forecasting effectiveness.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance teams to gather market insights and align demand forecasts with business plans.
Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing accurate demand projections and analysis.
Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure demand plans are translated into effective supply and inventory plans.
Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock-outs, excess inventory, slow-moving stock, and obsolescence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, forecasting methods, and data quality.
Maintain accurate planning data within ERP and reporting systems.
