The Dispatch Rider will handle the collection, transportation, and delivery of parcels, documents, and other items to designated locations.
The successful candidate must be familiar with local routes, traffic conditions, and road safety regulations and must demonstrate a high level of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure customer packages and information are handled securely.
- Demonstrate professional and courteous behaviour when dealing with customers.
- Carry out routine checks on the motorcycle, including tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, and fuel levels.
- Collect payments or documents from customers when assigned and properly account for them.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to minimise delays and unnecessary fuel consumption.
- Confirm the identity and delivery details of recipients before handing over packages.
- Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and within the agreed timeframe.
- Maintain regular communication with the Operations/Supervisor throughout delivery assignments.
- Pick up and deliver parcels, documents, and other items to customers and designated locations.
- Ensure the motorcycle is kept clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Obtain proof of delivery, signatures, or other required delivery confirmation.
- Handle packages carefully to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Maintain accurate records of all assigned deliveries and collections.
- Report completed, pending, unsuccessful, or delayed deliveries to the supervisor.
