- Always maintain a valid driver’s license and ensure all required motorcycle documents, permits, and insurance are up to date and available when needed.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and customer-friendly attitude when interacting with clients or colleagues.
- Sign for packages at the point of collection and ensure the appropriate recipient signs for them upon delivery.
- Properly lock and secure the motorcycle whenever it is left unattended to prevent theft or misuse.
- Handle both internal and external distribution of goods and items efficiently and professionally.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely and safe deliveries.
- Ride the company motorcycle to carry out official duties, including picking up and delivering documents, parcels, and other items.
- Perform any other duties or assignments as required by management.
- Record all items received and delivered, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Clean the motorcycle regularly and keep it in good working condition.
- Update the Drivers’ Logbook daily with accurate information on mileage, trips, and fuel consumption, and any other required details.
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) driving rules and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself, the motorcycle, goods, and other road users.
- Report all matters concerning the assigned motorcycle to the supervisor, including mechanical issues, incidents, or required maintenance.
- Ensure that all motorcycle documents and particulars (license, insurance, roadworthiness, etc.) remain valid at all times.
- Conduct daily inspections of the motorcycle’s general condition, checking the brakes, lights, oil level, tyres, fuel, and other essential components.
