Job Summary
The Electrical Manager - Power Plant at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of the Power plant Electrical equipment to avoid breakdown of machinery, preparing of the spare parts list, and maintaining the proper records of equipment history in the designated areas.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities
- Direct assigned maintenance staff in resolving complex and/or difficult maintenance issues.
- To devise appropriate PM schedules for all critical equipment as per OEM recommendations and ensure proper implementation.
- Ensure discipline, skill enhancement and motivation of subordinates.
- Provide electrical engineering expertise for transformers, generators, motors, relays, cables, etc.
- Prioritise and assign electrical system related work orders to skilled maintenance staff.
- Generate work orders for identified electrical problems.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Section Head, Electrical from time to time.
- Prioritize personnel safety & health and ensure good housekeeping during all maintenance jobs.
- Procurement actions for spares and equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Requirements
- Knowledge of modern electrical systems.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
- Very good oral and written communication skill.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years work
Experience
in Gas Turbine based power plant.
A Bachelor’s Degree or it's equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge on electrical maintenance, generator, transformers, AVR, compressor, AC and other equipment maintenance.
Very good analytical and problem solving skills.
