A leading multi-specialist healthcare facility in Ibadan is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Technician / Facility Maintenance Officer to support the efficient operation of hospital infrastructure and electrical systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations, equipment, and facility-related systems remain safe, functional, and compliant with established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission electrical fittings and components as required.
- Support general facility management activities to ensure a safe and conducive healthcare environment.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, electrical standards, and hospital policies.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on lighting systems, power outlets, distribution boards, generators, pumps, and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and inventory of electrical materials.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
Requirements
- Experience in generator maintenance, electrical control systems, and building services will be an added advantage.
