to children aged 2-5 years. Founded In 1985, Since then, the school has grown remarkably and is today, From our first campus, situated in the heart of the Lagos mainland, which started with only 3 pupils, Greensprings School has grown tremendously in size and has also now established a state of the art campus on the Lekki Peninsula and Ikoyi, with a combined student population of over 2,500 pupils.
Greensprings school has been entirely self-supporting since inception. There is a Board of Governors, which, not only guides the overall direction and strategic running of the school; it also oversees the work of the Director of
and the School Director. We look at our history with pride and affection but we also look forward with eager anticipation to the challenge of meeting the current educational needs of children growing up in the global village of the 21st century.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor electrical equipment and systems to identify potential faults or safety risks.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs promptly.
- Report major faults, safety concerns, and required replacements to the appropriate supervisor.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor or Facilities Management.
- Ensure proper use and care of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and replacement of components.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns within the School.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
- Assist with electrical installations and modifications during construction, renovation, or facility improvement projects.
- Maintain and repair lighting systems, sockets, switches, distribution boards, and other electrical components.
- Ensure electrical work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and applicable standards.
- Work closely with other members of the Facilities/Maintenance team to resolve technical and building-related issues.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and diagrams.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant
Experience
in electrical maintenance, preferably in a school, commercial, residential, hospitality, or similar environment.
Relevant technical certification or trade qualification will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
Must demonstrate integrity, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
