Egbin Power Plc. Lagos is one of the biggest additions to the electricity industry in Nigeria. Often seen as the biggest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was built to meet the every rising demand for electricity in Lagos and its environs.
Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group and sundry affiliations, acquired the 1320 MW installed capacity Egbin Power Plant. We are working towards deploying a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Summary
The selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing critical plant equipment to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
We seek entry level engineers to join our talent pool within our Maintenance Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct spare parts planning, procurement requests, and inventory management.
- Conduct inspections and performance assessments of key systems.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Execute planned maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability.
Education
and Work
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
1 - 3 years of relevant work
in plant maintenance.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Understanding of modern maintenance management practices and spare inventory control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Familiarity with standard operating procedures for equipment maintenance.
Understand concept of technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
