The Engineering Store Supervisor is responsible for managing engineering spare parts and inventory to ensure continuous plant operations.
The role focuses on maintaining critical spare availability, ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting maintenance activities, and preventing equipment downtime.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Directactivities of team membersto ensure department production goals are met
Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments areimplementedand the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.
Responsible for coaching,counselingand training team membersto foster ahigh-performancework team.
Fosterandforecastall sparesavailabilityto prevent machine downtime due tonon-availabilities
TheTeam Leaderwill meet with the value stream membersregularly. Reflecting on problems,solutionsand challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement.
TheTeam Leader willassistthe Value Stream Leaderto create continuous product flow,utilizepullsystemsand to level the workload.
Leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, which include but are not limitedto:supply chain, production control, manufacturingprioritiesand coordination between theshifts in the value stream.
Identifycritical spares and ensure zero% stock out of all critical parts.
Qualifications & Requirements
Responsible for recording,analyzing and reporting all inventory(SAP and Excel) data
Ability to predict inventory needs, calculate safety stock, and plan reorder points based on market trends.
Member Affiliate professional bodies will be an added advantage.
Exceptional organizational abilities, sharp attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Toconductandmonitorinspection ofall spares, properarrangein locationand Safety Checks, Controlsof bin cards.
4–6 years of hands-on experience in technical/engineering warehousing, stocks control or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Reportany unsafe, unclean areas or any problems that coulddamage any spares,
HND / Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Logistics or related technical field.
Familiarity navigating enterprise software like SAP, tally etc.
