Biomedical Limited was incorporated as a private limited liability company in April 1978 with interest in the manufacture of critical care products indispensable in healthcare delivery. Biomedical is the first pharmaceutical company in Nigeria to manufacture and distribute intravenous fluids, Dialysis and irrigation fluids and oral rehydration salts we commenced production on August 21, 1981 at our factory located in Ilorin, Kwara State is spread over 24,380sqm.
As pioneer producers on this life very essential life-saving medication, we pride ourselves in producing high quality products. Our trail blazing efforts has made Nigeria self sufficient in intravenous and other perfusion fluids.

Job Summary
The Executive Director – Technical will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all technical operations of the company, including manufacturing, engineering, quality systems, research and development support, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate must possess strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge, leadership capacity, and extensive
Experience
in technical and manufacturing operations.
The candidate will act as a vital liaison between technical teams and the Board of Directors.
Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage
Minimum of 25 - 30 years relevant
within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and at least 10 - 15 years in senior management or leadership role
A Master’s degree or PhD will be an added advantage.
Proven
in technical operations, process development, engineering systems, regulatory compliance and fillings (NDA/BLA/MAA), late-stage drug development, and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls)
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial/Analytical Chemistry, or related Life Science discipline.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, GMP, validation, and regulatory
Key Responsibilities
- Drive operational efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and lead multidisciplinary technical teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory
Requirements
- (FDA, EMA) and maintain high-quality standards including GMP
- Provide strategic direction for all technical and manufacturing operations
- Lead technical project execution, plant expansion, and equipment qualification activities
- Develop and implement technical policies, SOPs, and operational strategies
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Production departments
- Oversee production, engineering, maintenance, validation, and technical services
- Ensure effective resource planning, budgeting, cost management and maintain external relationships with CROs and CDMOs.
