The Facility Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, maintenance, safety, cleanliness and efficient operation of the school’s facilities and physical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response: Support the management of facility-related emergencies and ensure appropriate escalation and resolution.
- Utilities Management: Monitor the efficient use and availability of electricity, water, generators, air-conditioning and other essential utilities.
- Health & Safety: Ensure facilities meet required health, safety and environmental standards and promptly address identified hazards.
- Cleaning & Environment: Supervise cleaning services, waste management, landscaping and general environmental upkeep.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate and monitor external vendors, contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Repairs: Identify faults and ensure timely resolution of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and other facility-related issues.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on facility conditions, maintenance activities, incidents, expenditure and outstanding requirements.
- Security & Access: Work with the security team to support appropriate access control and the protection of school property.
- Inventory & Assets: Monitor facility-related equipment, tools and supplies and maintain appropriate records.
- Maintenance: Monitor the condition of facilities and coordinate routine, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Team Supervision: Supervise facility/support staff and ensure assigned duties are properly executed.
- Inspections: Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain records of defects, maintenance activities and outstanding issues.
- Facility Operations: Oversee the daily operations of school buildings, classrooms, offices, recreational areas and other facilities.
- Budget & Cost Control: Support planning and monitoring of facility-related expenditure and promote cost-effective use of resources.
