The Facility Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, maintenance, safety, cleanliness and efficient operation of the school’s facilities and physical infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
Facility Operations:
Oversee the daily operations of school buildings, classrooms, offices, recreational areas and other facilities.
Maintenance:
Monitor the condition of facilities and coordinate routine, preventive and corrective maintenance.
Repairs:
Identify faults and ensure timely resolution of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and other facility-related issues.
Cleaning & Environment:
Supervise cleaning services, waste management, landscaping and general environmental upkeep.
Health & Safety:
Ensure facilities meet required health, safety and environmental standards and promptly address identified hazards.
Security & Access:
Work with the security team to support appropriate access control and the protection of school property.
Contractor Management:
Coordinate and monitor external vendors, contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Inventory & Assets:
Monitor facility-related equipment, tools and supplies and maintain appropriate records.
Utilities Management:
Monitor the efficient use and availability of electricity, water, generators, air-conditioning and other essential utilities.
Inspections:
Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain records of defects, maintenance activities and outstanding issues.
Emergency Response:
Support the management of facility-related emergencies and ensure appropriate escalation and resolution.
Reporting:
Prepare periodic reports on facility conditions, maintenance activities, incidents, expenditure and outstanding requirements.
Team Supervision:
Supervise facility/support staff and ensure assigned duties are properly executed.
