Job Summary
This role involves working closely with patients—particularly female clients requesting female practitioners for cultural, personal, or specialized women’s health reasons (e.g., pelvic floor rehab, antenatal / postnatal care).
The successful candidate will diagnose, manage, and treat physical dysfunctions, injury-related mobility issues, and chronic pain conditions.
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and licensed Female Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities
- Therapeutic Delivery: Administer manual therapy, joint mobilization, electrotherapy, ultrasound, exercise therapy, and heat/cold treatments.
- Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed, accurate, and up-to-date patient records and clinical progress notes following Nigerian healthcare standard protocols.
- Home Visits (If applicable): Deliver professional physical therapy services at clients' residences across major Abuja districts.
- Women's Health Focus: Provide specialized care for women, including pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation, prenatal/postnatal physical conditioning, and post-mastectomy rehab where required.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans tailored to individual patient needs and recovery goals.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' physical condition, mobility, muscle strength, joint range of motion, and pain levels.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on ergonomics, posture correction, injury prevention, and home-based exercise routines.
- Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Fully registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTBN) with a current practising license.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or private clinic setting.
- Education: Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (B.MR) or Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.PT) from a recognized institution.
- Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological, and sports injury rehabilitation.
- Specialized training or strong interest in Women’s Health / Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy is an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, empathetic communication, and active listening skills.
