Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial operations within a regulated digital asset environment. The role is responsible for financial reporting, treasury oversight, regulatory compliance support, and internal control management across fiat and digital asset activities.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to manage financial risks associated with cryptocurrency operations, regulatory requirements, and high-volume transaction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Develop and maintain accounting policies for digital asset transactions, including valuation, recognition, and impairment.
- Coordinate and manage external audit processes.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure completeness and integrity of the general ledger.
- Maintain financial records for:
- Trading and exchange activities
- Digital asset holdings
- Wallet balances and custodial accounts
- Revenue streams (fees, spreads, staking, etc.)
- Treasury & Liquidity Management:
- Oversee management of fiat and digital asset treasury positions.
- Monitor counterparty exposure to exchanges and financial institutions.
- Monitor liquidity across exchanges, custodians, and banking partners.
- Manage conversion between fiat and cryptocurrencies.
- Implement controls over digital asset movements and reconciliations.
- Regulatory & Compliance Support:
- Coordinate financial submissions required by regulators, such as:
- Support AML/CFT financial reporting obligations.
- Ensure financial records are audit-ready and regulator-ready.

Requirements

- Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Reconcile blockchain transaction data with internal financial records.
- Design and maintain internal control frameworks for digital asset transactions.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all financial activities.
- Establish processes for safeguarding digital and fiat assets.
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives.
- Budgeting, Planning & Analysis:
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial performance analysis and variance reporting.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights
- Operational Finance Leadership:
- Support investor reporting and due diligence processes.
- Manage finance operations and supervise finance staff where applicable.
- Collaborate with operations, compliance, technology teams, and other departments
- Implement finance systems suitable for high-volume transaction environments.
- Proven ability to design internal controls and manage risk in financial operations.
- 3 - 5 years of
- in Nigeria (e.g., CBN, SEC) is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) are a plus.
Experience
in financial management, accounting, or treasury operations.
Familiarity with regulatory reporting
leading finance teams and implementing finance systems in high-volume transaction environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
