Job descriptions & requirements
Key Accountabilities
- Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, management accounts, and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor expenditure, receivables, payables, and project financial performance.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
- Oversee procurement, supplier payments, inventory, and warehouse financial controls.
- Manage banking relationships and working capital.
- Coordinate audits and statutory/tax compliance.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Identify financial leakages, risks, and opportunities to reduce operational costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Strong experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience in agribusiness, FMCG, logistics, warehousing, commodities, or project-based businesses is an advantage.
- Strong Excel and accounting/ERP systems skills.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
