We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the organisation\'s financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, cash flow management, and financial records.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supporting effective financial management, and driving strong financial controls across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and monthly management accounts.
- Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support effective financial management.
- Prepare and review budgets, cash budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
- Prepare and review investment analysis and financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, fixed asset registers, and financial documentation.
- Strengthen and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, cost efficiency, and liquidity.
- Supervise, support, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Provide financial insights and reports to management to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
