Job Title: Fuel Clerk - Material Controller
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Summary
We are seeking a Fuel Clerk to manage fuel (AGO) inventory, delivery, storage, dispensing, and related safety activities across designated office and residential locations.
Key Responsibilties
Coordinate Permit-to-Work requirements for fuel lifting, distribution, and reception.
Report and escalate incidents, unsafe acts, and fuel containment issues.
Supervise fuel truck operations and AGO bunkering activities.
Ensure safety signage, firefighting equipment, and HSE requirements are maintained.
Manage and monitor fuel storage and dispensing facilities.
Support tank certification, calibration, maintenance, and inspections.
Support ISO 14001 and other relevant audits.
Monitor storage tanks and bund walls for leaks or loss of containment.
Manage fuel stock levels and plan replenishment based on consumption trends.
Monitor AGO deliveries, consumption, stock levels, and tank volumes.
Conduct routine tank dips, physical inspections, and stock reconciliations.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption and stock reports.
Monitor fuel quality before receipt and verify tank ullages before discharge.
Coordinate AGO deliveries with Procurement, vendors, and relevant departments.
Key Accountabilties
Promote safe and environmentally responsible fuel handling practices.
Ensure fuel storage and dispensing facilities are properly inspected and maintained.
Maintain accurate fuel inventory and consumption records.
Ensure adequate AGO availability across designated locations.
Requirements
- Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an advantage.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum of an OND or equivalent in a Technical or Science discipline.
- Basic knowledge of fuel storage, dispensing, and inventory management.
- Good understanding of HSE and environmental requirements related to fuel handling.
- Good numerical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
