Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager to lead the growth, performance and operations of the Group’s portfolio of businesses and emerging ventures. The role sits at the intersection of real estate, investments/wealth management, mobility, logistics and new business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the Group’s investment vision into commercially viable businesses, building strong operating structures, and ensuring each venture delivers sustainable growth and returns.

The GM will have direct oversight of ProTaxi, the Group’s e-hailing and mobility business, while also contributing to the growth and strategic direction of the Group’s real estate investment and wealth-building platforms and other innovation businesses. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can move comfortably between strategy, commercial performance, operations, investments, partnerships and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Group Strategy & New Ventures
  • Lead the strategic development and commercial performance of the Group’s innovation and new business portfolio.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, investments and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop business plans, operating models and go-to-market strategies for new ventures.
  • Identify synergies across the Group’s real estate, investment, mobility and other businesses.
  • Establish appropriate KPIs, budgets and performance targets for each business unit.
  • Present regular performance reports, insights and recommendations to the Managing Director/Owner.
  • Build scalable systems and processes that allow new ventures to grow sustainably.
  • Real Estate & Investment Businesses
  • Support the strategic growth and commercial performance of the Group’s real estate businesses.
  • Work closely with leadership on real estate investment opportunities, development projects and portfolio growth.
  • Contribute to the development and commercialisation of the Group’s wealth-building and real estate investment products.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, business models, partnerships and potential returns.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, investment economics, risks and key commercial indicators.
  • Build relationships with investors, developers, financial institutions and other relevant ecosystem partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Group’s investment and wealth-building offerings.
  • ProTaxi / Mobility & Fleet Operations
  • Lead the Abuja launch and oversee the overall commercial and operational performance of ProTaxi.
  • Own revenue, operating costs, city P&L and per-vehicle profitability.
  • Develop and continuously review driver earnings, repayment and incentive structures.
  • Own fleet utilisation and ensure vehicles achieve maximum productive utilisation.
  • Oversee driver acquisition, onboarding, performance and retention.
  • Manage the mobility operations team and key external partners.
  • Establish operating standards and ensure consistent customer experience.
  • Work closely with product engineering team on technology, product issues, operational requirements and improvements.
  • Build relationships with relevant government agencies, commercial partners and mobility ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Monitor key mobility metrics including revenue, utilisation, trip volumes, driver performance, customer retention and vehicle profitability.
  • Commercial & Financial Management
  • Own the commercial performance of assigned businesses and ensure alignment with the Group’s financial objectives.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and business performance plans.
  • Monitor revenue, costs, margins, cash flow and return on investment.
  • Assess unit economics and profitability across business lines.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement measures to improve margins and returns.
  • Work with finance and other relevant teams to ensure appropriate financial controls and reporting.
  • Leadership & Partnerships
  • Lead lean, high-performing teams across the Group’s innovation businesses.
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs and accountability structures for business unit leaders and teams.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, investors, regulators, vendors and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the Group in relevant commercial, investment, real estate, mobility and ecosystem engagements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across the Group’s businesses.
  • Ideal Profile
  • The ideal candidate is a commercially strong operator with 8+ years of relevant experience across a combination of real estate, investments/wealth management, mobility, logistics, fleet operations, asset finance, fintech or other operations-heavy businesses.
  • Experience does not need to come from all these sectors, but the candidate should demonstrate the ability to understand and manage assets, investments, operations and commercial performance.
  • Required Experience & Capabilities
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in general management, business operations, investments, real estate, mobility, logistics, fleet management, fintech or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a business, business unit, portfolio or new venture.
  • Strong commercial and financial management experience, including budgets, P&L, unit economics and profitability.
  • Practical experience in real estate, property investment or real estate-backed investment products.
  • Understanding of wealth-building, investment products, asset-backed businesses or portfolio management.
  • Experience managing physical assets, vehicle portfolios, fleets or other asset-intensive operations is highly valuable.
  • Experience building or scaling a new business, product or venture from an early stage.
  • Strong understanding of partnerships, business development and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience managing teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining closely involved in execution.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian business and regulatory environment.

  • Experience with wealth management, investment platforms, fintech or alternative investment products.

  • Existing relationships within the real estate, investment, mobility, government or financial ecosystem.
