Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the use and maintenance of inventory/warehouse management systems.
- Assist with regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Work closely with procurement, sales, finance, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth movement of materials and products.
- Prepare routine warehouse and inventory reports for management.
- Support the implementation of proper housekeeping and warehouse organisation standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
- Ensure goods are properly labelled, stored, and arranged in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain/Warehouse Manager.
- Assist in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain relevant warehouse documentation, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), dispatch records, stock cards, and inventory reports.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing losses, improving efficiency, and optimising inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and warehouse operating procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Must have completed the NYSC programme and possess a valid NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop a long-term career in Supply Chain.
- Good understanding of basic warehouse and inventory management principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
