We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head, Project Delivery
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and operational excellence to ensure projects meet their objectives, deadlines, and budgets while aligning with AYGF’s mission and values.
The project delivery is a Pillar coordinating activity of four strategic departments – these include programs andpartnership, business development ,communication, MEALdepartments.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide strategic leadership and supervision to project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, contractual obligations, and relevant standards.
- Collaborate with the Finance and MEAL teams to ensure effective budgeting, financial management, monitoring, reporting, and documentation.
- Identify funding opportunities and work with relevant teams to develop and submit timely and responsive proposals.
- Demonstrate strong proposal-writing skills and a proven track record of developing successful proposals that secure project funding.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with donors, government agencies, partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of high-quality donor and project reports.
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and delivery of AYGF projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Support project close-out, transition, sustainability, and documentation processes.
- Represent AYGF at relevant meetings, conferences, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
- Develop project workplans, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance targets.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and challenges, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Capture project lessons, results, and best practices to support learning, programme improvement, and future proposal development.
- Lead the development of high-quality, competitive project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
- Qualifications & Experience
- The Candidate should possess strong leadership, team management, and problem solving skills.
- Qualification should be minimum of M.Sc Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields with at least 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on non-profit or development sectors.
- Key Competencies:
- High level of adaptability and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Budget and financial management skills.
- Strong negotiation and partnership-building capabilities.
