African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state—the first of its kind in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Heavy Earth Moving Machinery Manager (HEMM)
Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Contract
Key Accountabilities
- Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor maintenance budgets, forecast spare parts requirements, and manage inventory levels for critical components.
- Fleet Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
- Breakdown Management: Supervise troubleshooting and rapid response for emergency mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment failures.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train mechanics, technicians, and equipment operators to ensure high accountability and safety compliance.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols and ensure adherence to mining industry standards.
- Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Generally 8 to 15+ years of hands-on and managerial experience in heavy machinery maintenance within mining, quarrying, or heavy industry sectors.
- Technical Skills: Deep diagnostic proficiency for major equipment brands (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr), strong knowledge of hydraulic/electrical systems, and familiarity with maintenance software (such as SAP).
