The House Master is responsible for the overall administration, supervision, discipline, safety, welfare and pastoral care of students within the boarding house.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Support: Monitor students’ academic engagement and collaborate with relevant staff where academic or behavioural concerns arise.
- Discipline & Conduct: Maintain appropriate standards of behaviour, enforce school rules and address disciplinary issues in line with school policies.
- Boarding House Administration: Coordinate daily routines, activities, house operations and the effective use of boarding facilities.
- Student Supervision & Welfare: Provide day-to-day supervision, pastoral support and guidance, ensuring students feel safe, cared for and supported.
- Staff Coordination: Provide direction and support to boarding staff and ensure duties and routines are effectively implemented.
- Health, Safety & Safeguarding: Monitor students’ health and safety, respond appropriately to incidents and uphold safeguarding requirements.
