Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise Housekeeping Staff:
Assign daily duties and responsibilities to housekeeping attendants.
Monitor staff performance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping team members.
Room Inspection:
Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet hotel standards.
Check beds, bathrooms, floors, furniture, amenities, linen, and overall presentation.
Ensure rooms are properly prepared before releasing them for sale.
Public Area Supervision:
Ensure corridors, reception areas, staircases, elevators, toilets, and other public areas are clean and presentable.
Conduct regular inspections throughout the day.
Linen & Inventory Control:
Monitor the use and proper handling of bed linen, towels, uniforms, and other housekeeping items.
Maintain proper records of linen and housekeeping supplies.
Report shortages, damages, or losses to management.
Cleaning Materials & Equipment:
Monitor the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ensure housekeeping equipment is maintained and reported for repair when necessary.
Control wastage of cleaning materials.
Maintenance Reporting:
Identify damaged or faulty items in guest rooms and public areas.
Report maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Department and follow up until resolved.
Lost & Found:
Ensure all items left behind by guests are properly recorded, secured, and handed over according to hotel policy.
Health, Safety & Hygiene:
Ensure staff comply with hotel hygiene, health, and safety standards.
Ensure chemicals are handled and stored safely.
Maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the hotel.
Coordination with Other Departments:
Work closely with Front Office regarding room status, check-ins, check-outs, VIP rooms, and special guest requests.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Laundry, Security, and other departments when necessary.
Reports & Documentation:
Prepare daily housekeeping reports.
Report room status, staff attendance, maintenance issues, shortages, damages, and other operational matters to the Housekeeping Manager or management.
Guest Satisfaction:
Respond professionally to housekeeping-related guest complaints and requests.
Ensure guest rooms and facilities meet the expected standard of comfort and cleanliness.
Salary: N100,000 / month.
