Job Summary
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and people-oriented HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department in the effective management of employee records, recruitment, onboarding, attendance, documentation, and day-to-day HR activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor employee attendance, lateness, leave, and absence records.
- Assist with statutory and compliance-related HR documentation.
- Assist in implementing company HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with staff training, meetings, and other employee engagement activities.
- Handle employee inquiries and direct HR-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform other administrative and HR duties assigned by the HR Manager.
- Ensure HR documentation is handled confidentially and professionally.
- Support performance appraisal and employee evaluation processes.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including posting job vacancies, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Support disciplinary and employee relations processes when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of employee records.
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information and attendance records.
- Prepare employment letters, confirmation letters, memos, HR forms, and other personnel documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Candidates with CIPM certification or professional HR training will have an added advantage.
- 1–3 years of
Experience
in HR, recruitment, administration, or a related role.
Good understanding of basic HR practices and employment procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
