Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company's human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, training, and ensuring compliance with labour regulations.
We are seeking a proactive, organised, and experienced HR Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of HR experience, preferably within a financial institution, microfinance bank, lending company, or related sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in payroll administration and employee benefits management.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for management review.
- Support performance management processes, including appraisals and employee development plans.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate staff training, learning, and development programmes.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Monitor staff attendance, leave management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Handle other HR administrative functions as assigned.
- Support organisational culture initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Address employee relations issues and provide HR guidance to staff and management.
Requirements
- Strong recruitment, employee relations, and performance management skills.
- Professional HR certification CIPM is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree/HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in Human Resources.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
