The successful candidate will support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance and leave administration, employee relations, performance management, HR documentation, and other people-related processes.
BBA Motors Limited is seeking a proactive, organised, and people-focused HR Specialist to support the effective management of the employee lifecycle and contribute to the development of a structured, professional, and high-performing workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain proper documentation of HR activities and ensure records are easily retrievable.
- Support the administration of employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, transfers, and other employee movements.
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, letters, memos, and other employment documentation.
- Support payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance, leave, staff movement, and other relevant HR information.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, forms, and administrative procedures.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned by management.
- Assist with disciplinary and corrective-action processes where required.
- Ensure HR processes comply with company policies and applicable labour requirements.
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, assessments, and documentation.
- Support training, staff development, and employee engagement activities.
- Assist in implementing employee welfare, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Manage employee attendance, leave, resumption, absence, and related HR records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel records and HR databases.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Coordinate staff communication and HR-related announcements.
- Support employee relations and address workplace concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in monitoring employee performance and performance appraisal processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with employees at different levels.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience
Salary: N300,000 monthly.
with HRIS, payroll, or HR management systems is an advantage.
Minimum of 2–4 years'
in Human Resources or a related people-management function.
Good understanding of Nigerian employment and workplace practices.
Professional HR certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance, leave, and HR administration.
