Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support the institution's vision, promote a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and educational regulations.
The Human Resources Manager will provide leadership and direction in all areas of human resource management, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, policy implementation, compliance, and workforce planning across the Group's schools and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Management:
- Support workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic HR support to school leaders and management across all campuses.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Coordinate interviews, selection processes, reference checks, and employee placement.
- Develop talent pipelines for teaching, administrative, and support staff positions.
- Employee Relations:
- Foster positive employee relations and maintain a healthy work environment.
- Advise management on labour relations and employment issues.
- Address employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution professionally and fairly.
- Performance Management:
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes across all school locations.
- Support managers in setting performance objectives and development plans.
- Monitor employee performance and recommend improvement strategies.
- Training & Development:
- Design and implement leadership development and capacity-building initiatives.
- Promote continuous learning and professional growth among employees.
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programmes.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Manage employee compensation structures, benefits, and welfare programs.
- Conduct periodic salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
- Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with the finance department.
- Compliance & HR Administration:
- Maintain employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and organizational policies.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management presentations.
- Multi-Location HR Coordination:
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives across the Group.
- Monitor HR operations across all campuses and ensure consistency in policy implementation.
- Conduct periodic visits to school locations and provide HR support to campus leadership teams.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, or equivalent) is required.
- 5-7 years progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the education sector or managing HR functions across multiple locations is highly desirable.
- Required Competencies:
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-campus environment and manage competing priorities.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
