Job Summary
It is a middle management position in the business, and the role, risk management, prevents fraud and eliminates wastage while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations guidelines, procedures and policies.
The role of ICFR Compliance & Risk Management is charged with the overall responsibility of enhancing financial controls and increasing the operational efficiency of organizations, drive the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) while supporting enterprise risk management activities across Saro group.
Duties /
Minimum of 5 Years cumulative experience.
Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision& SharePoint will be an added advantage).
Minimum of a second Class upper in any course from a reputable university
Age Requirement: 30-35
Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA).

Responsibilities
- Compliance:
- He will develop and deliver ICFR training and awareness across our businesses.
- The person will lead the design, documentation, and implementation of the ICFR framework in line with regulatory requirements.
- He will conduct periodic ICFR assessments, testing, and reporting on control effectiveness, identify control gaps and drive remediation plans with relevant business units.
- He will ensure compliance with regulatory

- The person will review the Primary Control already in place to ascertain its completeness, adequacy, level of compliance etc. For business aspects lacking Primary Control, he will ensure Primary Control is formulated & implemented in line with company's Policy to eliminate wastages and prevent fraud.
- He will maintain ICFR documentation, including process narratives, risk and control matrices.
- He will support timely readiness for audit and ensure no delays in AFS sign-off in preparation for Annual General Meetings.
- He will share monthly ICFR compliance reports on issues raised with Head of Risk and Compliance and present same at Business Reviews.
- Risk Management:
- He will follow up to ensure mitigation of potential risks with a view to eliminating wastages and losses
- He will follow through on External audits’ recommendation on ICFR Evaluation.
- He will support in ensuring adequate Risk Assessment, Risk Treatment & Risk Management Reporting is done by the business to provide reasonable assurance for the achievement of strategic plan and objectives.
- He will monitor risk indicators and escalate emerging risks to management.
- He will support regular review of risk associated with the business and ensure adequate mitigations for Risks and Open Position Limits that can hinder the achievement of strategic plans and objectives.
- He will ensure our businesses Risk Reports are adequate and regularly updated with emerging risks.
- Training:
- He is expected to coach and facilitate in the training & development of the process owner on Internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), which will help them to be more informed and acquire a high degree of competency in their functions/roles.
- He is responsible for administering training to Key Process Owners to ensure that they have an intricate understanding of all Internal Control Guidelines and Standards.
