The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its
Portal for the Engagement of Election Staff (INECPRES)
for eligible Nigerians interested in serving as ad-hoc election personnel during the
2027 General Elections
.
The registration portal allows eligible applicants to review available positions, register their details and submit applications for consideration.
Available INEC Election Staff Positions
1. Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
Applicants for the SPO position must be either:
A Public/Civil Servant on
Grade Level 10–14
; or
A Registration Area Officer/INEC staff on
Grade Level 10–14
who is not engaged in other duties.
2. Registration Area Center (RAC) Manager
Applicants must be:
A Head of School; or
A staff member on
Grade Level 07 and above
of the school, institution or public building hosting the RAC.
3. Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)
Applicants for RATECH must:
Have an
IT background
; and
Be suitable INEC ICT staff at State or Headquarters level who are not engaged in other duties.
4. Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
Applicants may qualify under any of the following categories:
Serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.
Penultimate students of Federal or State tertiary institutions in Nigeria with IT knowledge.
Permanent staff of an MDA with an
OND qualification or Grade Level 07–10
